VCA stands for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE/HSE) Checklist for Contractors. The VCA* certificate focuses on the direct control of safety on the work floor and is intended for subcontractors and operational companies without their own subcontractors.

What VCA* involves
VCA* assesses whether you have operational safety in order: from an up-to-date RI&E and HSE officer to instruction, PPE use, workplace inspections and the handling of incidents.
Unlike VCA**, VCA* does not set requirements for an extensive HSE management system at management level, but focuses on the direct control of risks during the work.
