The Arbowet: these are your most important obligations

The Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) requires employers to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. A number of obligations stand out.

You must have an up-to-date RI&E with a plan of action, appoint a prevention officer, organise in-house emergency response (BHV) and have a basic contract with an occupational health service.

In addition, you are obliged to provide information and instruction. Training courses are therefore not only sensible, but often also a legal obligation.
